Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid are desperate to offload Thomas Lemar this month.
The Frenchman has failed to live up to expectations after making a big-money move from AS Monaco.

Diego Simeone’s side are looking to sell Lemar to free up space to sign a new striker.
As reported on Marca, Arsenal made contact as soon as they found out that Lemar was up for grabs and the Spanish news outlet labels the Gunners as a ‘possible destination’ for Lemar.
The north London club have been linked with Lemar ever since his days at Monaco and with the player looking to rejuvenate his career, this could be the best move for all parties.

Atletico are desperate to let Lemar leave so that means the Gunners could secure him for a lower than expected fee.
Lemar himself will want to prove himself ahead of Euro 2020 because he knows he may miss out on the squad if he doesn’t improve.
He’ll also add extra firepower to Arsenal’s attack, which is filled with skilful and pacey players so he will fit in very well. Mikel Arteta needs to get this done.
