Plenty of Arsenal fans have been applauding Mesut Ozil for his performance against Bournemouth on Boxing Day.
The German playmaker looked back to his best against Eddie Howe’s side, with many now expecting to see more of the same under Mikel Arteta.
Ozil was one of many who often struggled to make a consistent impact under Unai Emery, but these fans on social media believe this could be a fresh start for the 31-year-old.

You don’t have to go back too far to a time where it looked like Mesut Ozil could be on his way out of Arsenal in January.
Mikel Arteta has since talked up his chances of playing a key role throughout the second half of the season.
He was one of the best Arsenal players against Bournemouth, with the Gunners much improved under Arteta.
The immediate impact from the new Arsenal boss was clear to see and if the early signs are anything to go by, the likes of Ozil will only continue to improve under Arteta in the coming weeks and months.
