Arsenal are reportedly keeping a watchful eye on Thomas Lemar’s situation at Atletico Madrid.
According to ESPN, the Gunners are considering a move for the Frenchman following the struggles he has endured during his time in Spain.
It is claimed that the player’s name has been mentioned as the club weigh up potential future transfer targets. However, the report does not specify if the club would look to make a move in either the January or summer window.
Since joining Atletico from AS Monaco, game time hasn’t always been forthcoming for the player, who has made just nine league starts this season.

Few will be surprised that the move to Madrid has not worked out for Lemar, a creative and attacking midfield player.
He doesn’t necessarily fit the profile of player that you would associate with Diego Simeone teams from years gone by.
Lemar can play across the midfield behind the striker and perhaps it’s his versatility that has hampered him in Spain, six of his appearances this season have come out on the left, while he also featured centrally and out on the right.
At 24, Lemar has time on his side and could still flourish at the highest level, with a move away from Madrid looking like the obvious next step for the player.
