Arsenal’s Head of Football Raul Sanllehi has spoken after the club announced Mikel Arteta as the new permanent manager.
The Spaniard replaces fellow Spaniard Unai Emery, who was sacked by the club after some poor displays and results.

Arteta left his role as assistant manager of Manchester City and will have the opportunity to sign players in the January transfer window.
As quoted on Football London, Sanllehi said:
Globally, it’s not the strategic window. By definition, that’s the summer window.
That’s when you plan the season ahead. The winter window is much more tactical.
Now we’re going to have conversations between Edu and Mikel to see what things we can do or what we should do.

Some Gunners fans are expecting the club to splash the cash next month to improve the squad, but judging by Sanllehi’s comments, it doesn’t look likely.
The club spent a lot of money in the summer and Arteta has more than enough quality at his disposal to succeed in his new role.
There probably won’t be a big name arrival soon, that will most likely happen in the summer.
