Steve Round will join Arsenal with Mikel Arteta as one of his assistants, according to reports.
It is claimed that he will join Brentford’s goalkeeping coach Inaki Cana Pavon, as Arteta’s backroom team begins to take shape.
Arteta is poised to be unveiled as the new Arsenal manager anytime now after leaving Manchester City to take his first steps in management.
Round has previously worked with David Moyes at Everton and Manchester United, while he also had a spell at Aston Villa working as a director of football.

This looks like a smart appointment from Arteta, who will be looking to surround himself with people that he trusts.
Given that this is his first role in management, it puts even more onus on having the right people around him.

Round is clearly somebody who he trusts very highly following his time working at Everton with David Moyes.
Given his connections with Everton and Moyes, Arteta will know exactly what he is getting from Round.
