Rodolfo Borrell and ex-Manchester City coach Domenec Torrent are reportedly among the early favourites to join Mikel Arteta’s backroom staff at Arsenal.
According to reports, as cited on social media, Arteta could bring some members of the Manchester City coaching team with him to North London.
Torrent is no longer with the Premier League champions but has worked with Guardiola at Barcelona, Bayern and Man City before going it alone as a number one.
He’s somebody who Guardiola often hailed as a key member of his backroom staff and these Arsenal fans are delighted with the claims.

Twitter: @cdavison_afc That would be incredible! Maybe Pep is helping Mikel build a unit for the club he once wanted to play for and manage 😉 (@ItsVikrantSingh)

Twitter: @cdavison_afc So basically everything except pep, I’m all for it. Much more confident about Arteta than I was previously. We move (@PainInMyArsenal)

This would be a great coup for Arsenal if either of the two joined Arteta at the Emirates.
Torrent was someone who has long been viewed as a key member of Guardiola’s success at Barcelona and Bayern Munich previously.
If it wasn’t for his own ambitions to try his hand at management, it’s very likely he’d still be at Manchester City alongside Guardiola.
Much has been made of Arteta’s inexperience, so having a strong team around him behind the scenes will make the adaptation period much smoother for the Spaniard.
