Arsenal will not be signing Hwang Hee-Chan during the January window, according to Red Bull Salzburg’s sporting director Christoph Freund.
Hee-Chan has been linked with moves to Arsenal, Wolves and Crystal Palace following his impressive spells in the Champions League with Salzburg.
Speaking about the player’s future, as cited on HITC, Freund played down suggestions that a move away from the Austrian side is imminent.
He is in great demand (but) he will stay and will play in Salzburg in spring.

Salzburg will be doing all they can to keep as much of their squad together throughout the January window.
The Austrian side are at risk of seeing the spine of their team ripped apart in the new year, with Erling Braut Haaland attracting interest from nearly every top European team and Takumi Minamino poised to join Liverpool.
The form of the aforementioned duo has somewhat overshadowed’s Hee-Chan’s role in the side, but he has been just as impressive in the Champions League for Salzburg.
With six goals in eight league starts, Hee-Chan has continued his good form in Europe with three goals and three assists during the Champions League group stage. He’ll be hoping to take some of that form into the Europa League when European football resumes next year.
