Arsenal capitulated to another Premier League defeat on Sunday, this time at the hands of champions Manchester City 3-0 at the Emirates.
Kevin De Bruyne scored a brace and assisted one for Raheem Sterling in the first half, as City breezed past the Gunners without much trouble.
Arsenal made a lively start to the game and Gabriel Martinelli did force Ederson into a good save in the first minute.
But, it was one-way traffic thereafter.
Gabriel Jesus set up De Bruyne to score in the second minute with a sumptuous passed volley.
The Belgian international then assisted a goal for Sterling on the counter-attack in the 15th minute, with Arsenal caught higher up the pitch.
Five minutes before half-time, the game was wrapped up when De Bruyne glided past the Gunners midfield to unleash a left-foot shot into the back of the net.
The second half was more of a training session, with not much to play for. Even then, Bernd Leno had to make a couple of good saves to keep the scoreline the same.
All in all, it was a shambolic performance from Arsenal, who are in free-fall at the moment.
Here’s how we rated their players after this game…
