Arsenal are seeking permission from Wolves to speak with Nuno Espirito Santo about their vacant managerial position.
The Daily Mail claims that the Gunners are stepping up their pursuit of the Portuguese boss, with links to Carlo Ancelotti and Mauricio Pochettino cooling.
Nuno has been one of the front runners for the Arsenal job since Emery was sacked, however, links went cold for a week or so. He now appears to have emerged as a real contender once again.

Santo’s Wolves have been an interesting side this season.
If you’d have asked Arsenal fans about the prospect of him replacing Emery during the early stages of the season, they probably would’ve played down the links.
However, to see how his Wolves side have reacted in recent weeks is very impressive. It looked to be a classic case of the Europa League getting the better of them – as it has done with so many Premier League teams over the years.
In fact, it’s anything but. They have picked up their league form, climbed into the top six and also progressed into the knockout rounds in Europe.
Wolves have enjoyed something of a mid-season renascence jut when things looked to be going badly and Nuno’s efforts are clearly not going unnoticed.
