Pundit Jason Cundy has claimed that Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil was really never suited to playing in the Premier League.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Cundy revealed he believes that Ozil was never a fit for Arsenal after the German was snubbed for another squad.

Ozil was left out of the team as Arsenal secured a win against Portuguese side Vitoria.
Cundy said:
Mesut Ozil is not built and designed for Premier League football, it’s as simple as that.
We’ve seen how well he can do for his national side and I saw him play for Real Madrid and I thought, ‘what a player’.
You do get that. Some players aren’t cut out for Premier League football and he is one of thoseYou need so many different assets to be a Premier League footballer. In other leagues the pace is slower, physically they’re not as demanding.
Technically you could argue that other European leagues are better technically. I think LaLiga is a better technical league than the Premier League.
But Ozil doesn’t have the minerals to survive in the Premier League, for me.

Cundy does have a point here, with Ozil never seemingly rediscovering his previous form shown at Real Madrid.
Other players have come in and struggled in the top flight in England, and Ozil looks to be one of them.
It may be time for the German to finally move on.
