Former Tottenham Hotspur youngster Marcus Edwards stunned the Emirates with the opener for Vitoria in their Europa League group stage clash against Arsenal.
The winger drove the ball into the bottom corner, capping his return to English soil with a goal as the Portuguese side raced into a surprise lead.
Edwards will have taken plenty of satisfaction from netting for his team given the well-documented rivalry between his former club Spurs and his opponents.
It’s safe to say that these Tottenham fans enjoyed seeing the winger silence the red half of North London…

Read Arsenal’s verdict
Taking the rivalry out of the equation, it really was shoddy defending from Arsenal.
The Gunners headed into this game as the clear favourites, and even though a youthful side was fielded, they shouldn’t have fallen behind to such a soft goal.
Unai Emery is doing little to convince his critics that he is the right man to lead Arsenal forward; conceding in these circumstances does him no favours.
