Wilfried Zaha is reportedly keen on a move to Everton, with his reported “dream” switch to Arsenal seemingly a non-starter.
The Gunners have had interest in Zaha for a while, but have yet to make an acceptable bid to Crystal Palace for their prized asset.
With Arsenal seemingly being outpriced in the market for Zaha, Everton could swoop in to sign Zaha, with the player keen on the switch.
The Evening Standard report that Everton could be the ones to sign Zaha, with the Toffees having the financial power to make a move for the winger.
Arsenal had offered players and cash for the Ivorian international, but Palace have remained firm, and still expect over £80 million for the former Manchester United man.
This begs the question, should Arsenal continue their pursuit?
There is no mistaking how influencial Zaha could be for the Gunners, especially when looking at his previous form for Palace.
Without Zaha, Palace look a different team, and if he were to move to North London, it could be said that Zaha could be massive for Arsenal’s European hopes.
However, with Arsenal under their current financial restraints, due to missing out on the Champions League, any deal for Zaha looks unlikely, and the Gunners could miss out to Everton, a team without European football.
