Arsenal have reportedly made an approach to sign as many as three Real Madrid players this summer, but are they realistic deals that they can complete?
According to reports from the Independent, who cite claims made in Spain, Arsenal have approached the La Liga giants for Marcelo, Dani Ceballos and Lucas Vazquez.
All three players have been linked with the Gunners but it now looks like it could be part of a triple swoop.
It’s hard to see where this is going for Arsenal. It has been constantly reported that the club are working on small budgets and you can’t imagine Madrid would let either of the three first-team players leave on the cheap.
Marcelo is certainly the standout name and it may well come to fruition that he is doing no more than merely angling for a new contract in Spain.

With no Champions League football and wages that wouldn’t get close to what he’s earning at Real, this doesn’t quite add up.
Ceballos is another player expected to move on, but again, with no Champions League football – this looks like a midfielder that the Gunners could miss out on this time around with the likes of Liverpool and Spurs also keen.
A deal to bring in Vazquez certainly appears to be the most realistic out of all three, given his lack of game time at Madrid he could be tempted by the first-team football that would be on offer at Arsenal.
