Arsenal are plotting a move for Gianluca Mancini in the January transfer window, if reports from the Daily Express are to be believed.
The Gunners have allegedly sent scouts to examine the Atalanta defender, who has impressed so far this season in Serie A.
With eight appearances under his belt in the 2018-19 campaign, the 22-year-old has also received ten caps for the Italian U21 team.

Unai Emery had sought to strengthen his defence in the summer with the signing of veteran defenders Sokratis Papastathpoulos and Stephan Lichtsteiner, but seems to be ready to spend more to tighten his rear-guard.
Italy is known for its production of fine wine, and world class central defenders. Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini have become a fearsome duo at the heart of Juventus’ defence, and Arsenal will be hoping Mancini shares some of the same traits.
Mancini has been at Atalanta since 2017, going out on loan to Perugia immediately after being signed.
