Arsenal have shown an interest in Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure as they look to strengthen their defensive midfield in the summer according to the Daily Mail.
The 25-year-old has attracted interest from a number of other clubs after some fine performances this season as the Gunners face swift competition from both Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool for the Frenchman.
The player’s contract last until June 2020 and his current club Watford are keen to get him to accept a new contract to increase his value should he wish to leave.

Watford are hoping that an improved contract worth in excess of £60,000-a-week will be enough to convince Doucoure to commit his long-term future to the club but his head may well be turned by interest from bigger clubs.
It’s understood that Javi Gracia’s side will seek offers in excess of £20m for the midfielder who cost them just £8m from Rennes back in 2016.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are all interested in adding to their midfield ranks in the summer and Doucoure has been one of the breakout stars of the 2017/18 season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in the Premier League this season.
