According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are in pole position to sign Udinese youngster Jakub Jankto.
It was reported that The Gunners were to sign the 21-year-old in the summer but the deal fell through, but they are back in the running to sign the Czech Republic international.
AC Milan and champions Juventus are also tracking Jankto as they both look to challenge for the Serie A title this season, but Arsenal want to sign the youngster as they look to progress in the Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League and FA Cup this season and they cannot rely on Jack Wilshere to stay fit all season.

Jankto has made 13 appearances for Udinese this season, scoring and assisting twice, which reignited The Gunners’ interest in the midfielder, who has a very small £6m release clause in his contract despite him being one of Europe’s biggest talents.
If Jankto was to join Arsenal, it would mean Wilshere will be allowed to leave. He was linked with a move to West Ham and other Premier League clubs in the summer.
