Paris Saint Germain winger Lucas Moura has said that he is focused on fighting for a starting spot at the French giants rather than a January move away from the club after being advised to join the Gunners, according to a report by the Mirror.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has been frozen out of the first team and has had to settle for a place on the substitutes bench for majority of the campaign. Moura has only featured twice in the Ligue 1 this season but has managed to find the back of the net once.
The arrival of fellow Brazilian Neymar had cast a major doubt over Moura’s future in Paris and the pacy winger was expected to leave last summer but chose to stay and fight for his place in the team.
“I am concentrating on improving my physical performance. I need to concentrate on improving at PSG,” said Moura.
“The season began in a difficult way for me, but my aim is to win back my starting place and the great moments that I had last year,” he concluded.
The comments from the winger come after he was advised by ex-Chelsea defender Alex to join the North London club.
“I would like to see him at Arsenal. They play cleaner football, more technical. He had contacts, I believe. That would be a good option for him this winter,” said Alex.
But the winger himself believes he doesn’t need to join Arsenal yet has the commitment to regain a starting spot at the Parc Des Princes.
