L’Equipe claim that Arsenal’s chances of landing the midfielder have taken a blow after the French club were contacted by Barcelona over Seri.

Seri has a £36m release clause in his contract and if a club were to match that value then they can open personal talks with the player and the club would be powerless to stop the transfer.
Nice are said to be open to letting the player leave and cashing in on him this summer.
The Ivorian International midfielder has caught the eye of several European clubs after having a very impressive campaign last season.

The 25-year-old Ivorian is very well known for his passing ability which is what has attracted Barcelona, who love players who can pass the ball confidently.
Seri was a key figure as he helped Nice to finish third in the Ligue 1 last season behind Paris Saint Germain and AS Monaco.
He has also been compared to Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante due to his high energy levels and stamina.
