Premier League club Arsenal have had a bid for French winger Ousmane Dembele rejected by Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund as manager Arsene Wenger looks to add firepower to his attack before the season begins, according to a report on the Express.
20-year-old Dembele has been targeted by the Gunners but Mundo Deportivo state that their pursuit was blocked by the German club.

Arsenal are still at risk of losing Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez as French side Paris Saint Germain line up a move for him after they have secured the signing of Neymar.
Wenger wants to be fully equipped if Sanchez leaves and made the move for Dembele before other top European clubs make official approaches.
Dembele seems open to a move from the German club and was also recently involved in a training ground bust-up with goalkeeper Roman Burke, which suggests that the youngster is unsettled at the club.

Dembele is one of the highest-rated young talents in world football and made his breakthrough season last term, where he managed to get his name on the scoresheet 11 times in all competitions for club and country, and also assisted 18 times.
Wenger was hoping to beat competition from Barcelona and Real Madrid to Dembele’s signature but may now have to pursue other targets or improve the bid.
