Alexis Sanchez is keen to join Manchester City this summer and the Chilean believes that Arsenal will give in and sell him to their Premier League rivals, the Daily Mail reports.
Arsenal are reluctant to sell their star player to another Premier League team and will reportedly not listen to any offers from Manchester City.
Sanchez has just one year left on his contract at the Emirates and with the forward stalling over a new deal, Arsenal could be set to lose him for free next summer if they do not sell him this summer.
Pep Guardiola and Alexis Sanchez worked together at Barcelona and both are keen to reunite with each other at Manchester City ahead of the new season, with Sanchez having already expressed his desire to play Champions League football next term.
Sanchez’s representatives are said to be confident that the Gunners will sell the forward this summer to avoid losing him for free at the end of next season, despite Arsenal remaining adamant that they won’t.
Manchester City are willing to pay over £50 million for Sanchez, but as of January 1st, Sanchez can begin negotiations with any overseas club over a free transfer.
Sanchez has already rejected a new contract offer from Arsenal that would see him earn £275,000 a week, with the forward holding out for a contract that would see him earn £300,000 a week.
