Lucas Perez will not fly with the Arsenal squad for their pre-season tour of Austraila, according to Spanish outlet El Des Marque.
The striker is set to remain at the club’s training ground in London as his future remains uncertain.
The Gunners are due to face Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers next week as they begin their preparations for the new season.
With Perez being left at home it is perhaps the clearest indication that the forward is no longer part of Arsene Wenger’s plans.
Perez struggled to hold down a regular place in the first-team squad last season and was often used out wide.
Arsenal have recently completed a deal to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon which casts further doubts over Perez’s long-term future at the Emirates.
Throughout his first season, he was linked with a return to Spain with his former side Deportivo La Coruna keen on re-signing him.
