Arsenal will return to action on Boxing Day when they take on West Bromwich Albion at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League. The Gunners will head into the match on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium.
In fact, Arsene Wenger’s side have lost their last two Premier League games. After winning their first three matches in all competitions this month, Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park before going down at City. The North London outfit are currently fourth in the league table with 34 points from 17 matches, nine points behind leaders Chelsea.
Despite the Gunners’ recent disappointing form, Arsenal are tipped by Oddschecker to beat West Brom by two goals. The North London outfit have a much better team than the Baggies and have two world-class players in Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil. Moreover, Arsene Wenger’s side have lost just one of their last 11 league games against West Brom.

Chile international forward Sanchez is in brilliant form and has scored 12 goals and created 44 chances in 17 league matches so far this season. One should not be surprised if the 28-year-old former Barcelona star scores the opening goal of the match against West Brom despite long odds of 7/2.
The Baggies are doing better than expected and are eighth in the Premier League table, but their only away league win against Arsenal came back in September 2010 when they ran out 3-2 winners at the Emirates. Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson has predicted a 3-1 win for the home team and there is every chance that it could come true, with odds of the North London outfit winning by two or more goals as short as 4/6.
