Arsenal duo Francis Coquelin and Olivier Giroud have reportedly reached contract extension agreements with the club.
Defensive midfielder Coquelin is understood to have reached an agreement that will take his stay at the club up to 2021 whilst Giroud has reportedly reached an agreement to extend his contract until 2019.
There was little doubt about Coquelin extending his current deal as he looks be a regular starter in Arsene Wenger’s side but there were questions being asked about Giroud and his future at the club.
The 30-year-old has found himself on the bench more often than not this year thanks to the fine form of Alexis Sanchez and there were some reports which suggested that he might seek a move in an attempt to get regular game time.
However, it looks like he’s decided that he’s happy to stay in North London and continue in his ‘super-sub’ role for the immediate future,
