Arsenal faced Hull on saturday, as they look to find some form early into the season. After a shaky performance against Southampton last weekend and a poor first-half performance in midweek against PSG, Arsene Wenger was looking for his team to finally kick into action.
The game started much better than last week. Although Hull did get forward well, Arsenal looked much more sharp. Following some quick play, it was the north London side who opened after Alex Iwobi’s shot deflected off Sanchez into the net. Not long after the goal, Jake Livemrore was sent off after the ball deflected off his hand. Arsenal did not capitalise on this however, as Sanchez’s penalty was saved.
The second-half was a different story. The red card seemed to tell on Hull who struggled to get the ball to Hernandez up front. Following excellent link up play with Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott scored Arsenal’s second, however as they always say, 2-0 is tricky position.
After a horrible across Arsenal’s box, Cech fouled Mbokani to give a Hull a penalty, to which they subsequently scored from. Arsenal though finally killed the game with a goal from Sanchez and an absolute screamer from Granit Xhaka.
So let’s take a look at how the player’s got on.
