Following weeks of speculation, Juventus striker Alvaro Morata has given Arsenal fans further hope in their quest for a new centre-forward by suggesting that he is open to a move to the Premier League.
The Independent are reporting that the 23-year-old will return to his parent club Real Madrid via a buy-back clause in his contract, in order to be sold on to the highest bidder.
Expected to lead the line for Spain at the upcoming Euros, Morata’s preference would be to fight for his place at the Bernabeu but ompetition from the likes of Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo means Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane cannot guarantee the young striker first-team football.

It would be in the Champions League winners’ best interest to exercise this particular clause due to the transfer fee they could demand for a player that remains a goalscoring talent with a point to prove.
His match-winning goal against Manchester City in the group stage of last season’s Champions League demonstrated that he has the characteristics needed to succeed on the biggest stage.
Morata told AS that he could move to the Premier League next year.
There are some offers from England that are tempting, not only by contract. I think for my characteristics the Premier League would also be a great destination. I’m 23 and all I want is progress, to play and learn from the best.
Arsenal are expected to be one of the potential suitors for the striker. With the right bid, Morata could be a real coup for Arsène Wenger.
The former Real Madrid player has failed to secure a starting role in his second season at Juventus and ended the campaign with 12 goals in 47 appearances, 21 of which came as a substitute.
