Arsenal have fallen behind Borussia Dortmund in the race for Rennes centre forward Ousmane Dembele, who has also got the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich chasing his signature.
According to the Mirror, the 18-year-old striker has been monitored a number of times by Arsenal scouts in his breakthrough season but Thomas Tuchel’s side have taken the ascendancy in the race to sign him.

The Frenchman has scored 12 goals in 23 games this season and has a worth believed to be in the region of £25m, with Dortmund willing to stump up close to that amount to take him to Germany.
With the Bundesliga giants facing the possibility of losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer after the Gabon international’s fantastic goalscoring season, Tuchel is seemingly eyeing up replacements, with Dembele one of a number of targets that includes the likes of Michy Batshuayi, who is also a target for Tottenham Hotspur.

Dembele has had such an impressive season for the French side that his performances have led to speculation he could be included in Didier Deschamp’s Euro 2016 squad this summer, with Karim Benzema confirmed to be missing out on the squad.
