With the disappointment of Arsenal signing just Mohamed Elneny in the January transfer window, calls were made for further additions to be made during the summer.
Arsene Wenger’s managerial contract with the club is currently set to expire in the summer of 2017 and it doesn’t look as though he is due to sign another, so it could mean that he will enter his final ever year as boss of the north London side next season.
It’s believed that because of that, both Alisher Usmanov and Stan Kroenke have told him to finally go on a spending spree and splash the cash to try and achieve some Premier League glory in his final ever campaign.
Wenger himself admitted that a list of players has been compiled and that the club are sending scouts all over the world to watch players.
