Arsenal travelled to Goodison Park on Saturday lunchtime to face Everton in a game they had to win to have any chance of getting back into the title race.
After two first half goals, coming from Danny Welbeck, and a first Arsenal goal for 19-year-old Alex Iwobi, the Gunners were back to their best with a well needed 2-0 win.
The first goal came inside six minutes, from a superb team goal finished off by England international Welbeck, before the north London side doubled their lead through young Nigerian international midfielder Iwobi, who scored his first goal for the club after a wonderful raking pass from Hector Bellerin.
This result keeps Arsenal 11 points behind title leaders Leicester City after the 3pm win over Crystal Palace, and are considered to be back in the title race, with eight games to go.
Here’s want we learnt from a positive afternoon for the Gunners.
