Arsenal are reportedly holding talks with Reading over a loan move for Gunners youngster Alex Iwobi.
The young African winger has been a transfer target for Reading since Nick Blackman left to go to Derby County last summer, and did not sign a new contract, meaning that he cost the Rams a mere £2.5 million.
Blackman was Reading’s top scorer, and with Reading currently sitting in mid-table, they need a new player to take over.

Reading manager Brian McDermott has claimed that his friendship with Arsene Wenger will persuade Arsenal to loan Iwobi out.
McDermott has also claimed that Iwobi can play either up-front or as a winger, as he had a previous scouting role at the Emirates Stadium.
Wenger says that he wants to get Iwobi as much game time as possible to aid his development. However, if Reading are to sign him, the 19-year-old could make an appearance every week for the Championship team.

Iwobi has only made five appearances in the Arsenal team this season and is a nephew of former championship star Jay-Jay Okocha, who famously played for Bolton Wanderers.
The young winger also made his first appearance for the Nigeria senior national team late in 2015 as they fell 2-0 to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
