Arsenal stopper Petr Cech has praised the attitude of young ‘keeper Matt Macey, with him having stepped in as the Premier League legend’s number two while David Ospina nurses a shoulder injury.
Cech noted Macey’s impressive attitude to his learning and said to Arsenal Player that it makes educating him considerably easier.

One thing that is very positive is Matt is very into the work and is willing to improve, to learn and take information on board and understand what it takes to be in the first team.
It is easy to work with Matt because he has that willingness to work and to improve and, when you see things happening, you can just say to relax this, try to do this or don’t try to do this.
The Czech has also said that it is the responsibility of the senior players to educate the younger players on the importance of persistence and hard graft.
When you are young, you want everything to happen quickly and certain things that don’t go perfectly or go your way can put you off a little bit. But the older players have the job to let the younger ones know that everything takes time and to keep working and it will happen.

The 21-year-old stands at a gigantic two metres tall and has taken the role of second choice goalkeeper in the previous six games. He joined Arsenal from Bristol Rovers in October 2013, with the Gunners paying Rovers £100,000 compensation for the youngster.
He spent a month of last season on loan to League two side Accrington Stanley, where he made three appearances.
Macey is expected to again be included in the squad for the weekend’s fixture against West Brom at the Hawthorns.
