UPDATE: Sky Sources claim that Arsenal and Roma are in the early stages of negotiating the loan move of Wojciech Szczesny.

According to super journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, negotiations between Arsenal and AS Roma regarding the future of goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny – which only started yesterday – are already at an advanced stage. The Italian reporter continued to say that the Pole will ‘probably’ be Roma’s goalkeeper next season.
After poor form and an off-the-pitch incident involving smoking, the 25-year-old has struggled to get game time with David Ospina taking his spot between the sticks. The excellent acquisition of Petr Cech from London rivals Chelsea adds to the fact that the Polish international will be spending a lot of time on the bench next season if at Arsenal, and that is if he beats his Colombian counterpart to that unwanted spot.
Coming into the team as a teenager, Szczesny made a real name for himself, with his hefty frame and athleticism standing out. Those traits remain and he is a strong shot-stopper, but concentration often lets him down – something epitomised by Arsenal’s new signing Cech and something infinitely important for a goalkeeper.
Simon Jones of the Daily Mail are claiming it is a loan deal but, although not specified, Di Marzio seemingly implies that the player who has been at Arsenal since 2006 will be leaving for good.
