The January transfer window might have just closed, but Arsenal are already plotting their summer moves after reports emerged that they are interested in Lyon’s attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir.
Despite having a variety of options in attack, Arsene Wenger is reportedly a big fan of the 21-year old and could look to make a near £20 million bid for him.
Fekir has played 16 times for Lyon in Ligue 1 this season and has been on fire in front of goal – netting 8 times.
However, it appears Arsenal aren’t the only team that want the player; PSG are interested and as we all know, they have the resources to more than match the Gunners.
Lyon are of course reluctant to sell one of their star players, but are reportedly more open to selling him abroad than to one of their title rivals.
It’s an interesting one. Fekir is obviously talented and we have a history of buying from Ligue 1 but it’s not really an area we are lacking in at the moment. Could the interest in Fekir suggest there could be a high profile exit from the club in the summer? Who knows.
